No, don't expect Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 to come to FOX in January 2024

The world of broadcast TV is certainly different in the 2023–2024 season. The majority of shows didn’t make it back to our screens in the fall. Not many of them will even make it back in January 2024, and that includes Alert: Missing Persons Unit.

The second season of the missing persons drama is still happening. The bad news is that we have to wait for it, and this is a longer wait than most broadcast shows.

Not only are we not getting it in January, but it also won’t arrive in February. Don’t worry; we’re not waiting until fall 2024 for the series.

When will Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 come to FOX?

FOX has opted to delay a lot of its scripted shows to a little later in the year. Alert: Missing Persons Unit will premiere on Tuesday, March 5. The episode will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT, following the Season 3 premiere of The Cleaning Lady.

This is going to be a tricky night. The series aired on Mondays in 2023, which is a stronger night for FOX. Tuesdays mean that the shows goes up against the FBI franchise on CBS as well as The Rookie on ABC based on the timeslot. FOX has had issues with Tuesday shows for some time with the likes of Lucifer, The Gifted, and Prodigal Son canceled abruptly after a move to Tuesdays.

There is little know about Alert: Missing Persons Unit Season 2 just yet. That’s not surprising with us so far out from the premiere. While ABC has shared a teaser for Grey’s Anatomy, which also premieres in March, most networks are focusing on their January and February releases.
