In NCIS, we got a beautiful tribute episode to David McCallum’s Ducky. Now Blue Bloods will bring us a tribute episode to Treat Williams’s Lenny Ross.

We knew that the series wouldn’t skip over Williams’s death. The question was going to be how the show would address it. Would it just be a tribute card at the end of the episode, or would Lenny’s character death be written in? Now we have our answers.

What to expect in Blue Bloods Season 14, Episode 3

The new episode will see Frank learn about the death of Lenny Ross. This is going to give Tom Selleck’s character a chance to mourn, which also offers Selleck another chance to mourn the loss. More often than not, you see how the actors are also grieving in these types of episodes.

The other characters have a few situations to deal with. For Jamie and Joe, it’s all about this sex trafficking ring. The two will need to work together to be able to reunite a trafficking victim with her sister. It looks like Joe’s learning the hard way what interference does to an undercover case, but he’s getting to learn while fixing mistakes.

On top of that, Erin and Danny will face some problems, and this time, it’s because of Erin. She decides to go behind Danny’s back when it comes to getting information from a criminal informant. What is it with these youngsters thinking they know better?

Check out the synopsis for Blue Bloods Season 14, Episode 3:
