5 characters we're likely to see die in Snowpiercer Season 4
The final season of any show tends to bring major deaths. Snowpiercer has never held back on shocking deaths, and the first episode of Season 4 delivered one.
We said goodbye to Zarah in the premiere. That wasn’t too surprising considering the push for the story that it would lead to. Not only does Layton need to get his daughter back, but he needs to avenge the death of his daughter’s mother.
What about other characters, though? That can’t be the only death in the series. Here are five more deaths we’re sure to see coming—and it’s not about the villains of the story!
Miss Audrey
I hate to say it, but I could see Miss Audrey meeting her maker in Snowpiercer Season 4. There are already signs that this is going to happen with the way she breathed in that black gas that Milius’s soldiers use. The soldiers went through some sort of experiment that has led to breathing issues, and it looks like that black gas is keeping them alive. Is it poisonous to others?
Personally, I hope I’m wrong with this one. There’s a huge issue with the bury your gays trope in TV shows. Snowpiercer can avoid that by saving Miss Audrey.
Ben
I do think one of the engineers needs to die. While killing off Miles would be heartbreaking, it doesn’t have a huge impact on the operating of Snowpiercer and Big Alice. The death of someone more experienced will cause many more issues.
Ben has been a major played from the start of the series. At first, he supported Mel in everything that she did, but then he turned to side with Layton when it came to the search for a new home. While he did choose Mel in the end, he still dreamed of New Eden, and now he’s working with the rebellion to fight against Milius. That’s sure to end in death.
Ben is likely to either sacrifice himself to save others, or he’s going to end up killed as he tries to do something heroic. Either way, it’s sure to leave a devastating feeling for everyone, especially Till, who has grown close to him in their fight against Milius.
Oz
Over the last three seasons, Oz has been back and forth with his development. He is inherently a selfish person, but that started to change at the end of Season 3. He realized that what he was doing was wrong, and he needed to put others first.
However, he was ostracized when he ended up in New Eden. That led to him heading out in the middle of nowhere, which led to Zarah’s death. People blame him, and he knows that he has to redeem himself in some sort of way. Roche is giving him that chance, and I suspect it will end with him sacrificing himself to save someone.
Josie
I don’t want Layton to go through more heartbreak, but I suspect he will. There is no way Snowpiercer Season 4 will kill him off, unless it is right at the end of the series. Instead, I think he will lose another person close to him. There are already signs that something is going on with Josie.
She was injured in the jump between trains in the previous episode. However, she has also mentioned how she doesn’t feel some things. This is a sign that all those experiments on her when we thought she was dead have caused some problems, which could lead to her being killed off as some sort of “failed experiment.”
Melanie
There is sure to be a death that has a huge impact at some point in the story. Melanie is likely to be that death, and likely at the very end of the series.
We don’t know where Melanie is just yet. She doesn’t seem to be on the train, as she left Ben behind at the end of Episode 2. However, that doesn’t mean she is still alive. Milius is hiding a lot, and this mission for Snowpiercer is not what he says it is.
If Melanie is still alive, she may realize that everything she has agreed to do is negatively affecting the people she cares about. We also know that Alex is likely to be in trouble with the events of the last episode. Is there a chance that she will put her own life on the line to save Alex and to save the people of Snowpiercer and New Eden?
