The episode follows one that was focused on Ruzek. Burgess got a lot of screentime as she stood by her man and figured out a way to keep him out of dodge. Intelligence will always stand by their own, except for Upton, who had a lot of questions about Ruzek’s involvement in the case. Doesn’t she realize that Voight has covered for all of them at points throughout the series?
Regardless, Ruzek learned that he passed his test, but the episode didn’t come without consequences. Things didn’t go well for the CI-turned-friend.
Now eyes are on what to expect in the new episode. This one is all about Burgess, as she is around when there’s a drive-by shooting around some refugees. This could be a hate crime, and Intelligence is going to make sure the case is solved.
