Are you ready for another packed season of crime and questioning your bias? Accused Season 2 will be here before you know it.

This season will have eight episodes rather than the 15 from the first season. We now have the latest—and likely final—casting for the season, and it includes a How I Met Your Mother vet.

As with the first season, each episode is a standalone story. The title of the episode is the "Story" of the main character for the tale, which is the person on trial for whatever they have been accused of doing.

Who has joined Accused Season 2?

Cobie Smulders has joined the second season. She will lead her episode, titled "Val's Story." All we know is that her ex-husband gets into an accident, and Val has to face the unimaginable. It doesn't say if the ex-husband was killed or not, but could she be accused of setting up some sort of situation that landed him in this situation? After all, whenever something happens to someone, the partner or ex is the most likely suspect.

Vella Lovell and Dina Shihabi have also been cast for this episode. The details of their characters are unknown at this time.

Isabel Arraiza has also joined the season. She will appear in Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy's episode, which is titled "Lorraine's Story." Huffman is the lead in that story.

Michael Chiklis returns and directs an episode

There are two returning faces from the first season, with one of them confirmed as playing a different role. Michael Chiklis will return for an episode, but it's not clear if he will play the same role as before or a different role. It looks like it will be a different role based on the title "Justin's Story."

What's more interesting is that Chiklis will return in another capacity. He will direct an episode, according to TVLine. He'll direct the episode "Euguene's Story," which stars Ken Jeong.
