Just because broadcast networks are taking a break, doesn’t mean there are no crime dramas to watch. Streamers have our backs this time of year, and there are some great releases coming in July 2024.

You’ll want to get access to a few streaming platforms for your releases this month. We’re looking at Acorn TV, BritBox, AMC, and more. Here are four top crime dramas worth checking out this month.

Snowpiercer Season 4

Okay, so technically this is a dystopian series and not a crime drama. However, dystopian futures always bring an element of crime, and we know what one of them will be from the trailer for Season 4. Layton’s daughter is going to be kidnapped in New Eden, and he will stop at nothing to find her.

Meanwhile, Ben and Till are attacked while on a recon mission for Melanie. Others end up on Snowpiercer, and this puts everyone at risk until Mel surrenders. Is that Wilford back on the train?

Snowpiercer Season 4 premieres on AMC on Sunday, July 21.

The Responder Season 2

There are some great crime dramas heading to BritBox throughout the month of July. One of them stars Martin Freeman as Carson, a police officer who is just trying his best to balance his personal and professional lives. After getting tired of the night officer beat takes its toll, he decides it’s time to look for a day job.

Meanwhile, we pick up off the back of Season 1 with Rachel and Chris. The two need to find a way to work together, and they realize that they may have more in common than they would like to admit.

The Responder premieres with two episodes on Thursday, July 11 on BritBox.

Signora Volpa Season 2

Acorn TV is the next streaming platform to turn to for crime dramas. Signora Volpa Season 2 premieres, and it takes us back to the beautiful Umbrian countryside. Former spy Sylvia Fox is trying to live a peaceful and quiet life, reconnecting with her family and restoring her home.

However, things won’t go the way she plans. When a dead man comes looking for vengeance against Sylvia, he ends up pulling her while family into the situation. Will MI6 help get to the bottom of it?

Signora Volpa premieres on Monday, July 29 on Acorn TV.

Women in Blue

Would you like a completely new series? Apple TV+ has you covered with this last one. The Spanish-language series Women in Blue premieres at the end of the month.

Set in 1971, the series follows four women who join Mexico’s first female police force. They are going against the norms of the time, and they realize that their unit is just a publicity stunt. There’s a brutal serial killer out there, and the media needs a distraction from it. Well, the women aren’t just going to let themselves be a joke. The women join forces to bring down the serial killer and prove they are worthy of their badges.

Women in Blue premieres on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, July 31.
