It’s that time of year when TV shows come to an end. There are also new shows arriving, as the summer schedule starts and streaming networks look for new shows to bring to people. May 2024 is no different, and we have five great crime dramas that you’ll want to watch.

We do start with a finale, that is currently set to be the series finale. We would love to see it saved, though!

NCIS: Hawaii series finale

The first on the list to watch is the NCIS: Hawaii series finale. Yes, the NCIS Season 21 finale also airs on Monday, May 6, but that show is getting renewed and there will be plenty of time to catch up. It’s important to watch the Hawaii finale to support the cast as they say goodbye to their characters.

Watching the show even though it’s been abruptly canceled is also good if the series is being shopped around. It shows to other networks that there is a loyal fanbase for it.

The NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 finale will air on Monday, May 6 at 10/9c on CBS.

Harry Wild

Acorn TV is a great streaming hub for crime dramas, especially British crime dramas. Harry Wild Season 3 premieres with two episodes on Monday, May 13 and then releases weekly. Jane Seymour is back as the titular character, and you won’t want to miss out. The great news is you can catch up on the first two seasons right now.

Harry Wild Season 3 picks up with harry and Fergus hired to prove Ireland’s hottest boy band’s lead singer didn’t take his own life. A lot of murders are made to look like suicides, and it’s not always easy to prove the former. Then there’s the murder on a daytime soap opera and a mystery writer who shot himself in a locked panic room…only he didn’t have a gun!

Harry Wild is available to stream on Acorn TV.

After the Flood

BritBox is another streamer to turn to when you want quality British crime dramas. After the Flood is the BritBox Original worth checking out, starring Peaky Blinders star Sophie Rundle. The first two episodes drop on Monday, May 13 with two episodes coming out weekly after that.

PC Joanna Marshall thinks that her time after a flood is going to involve helping with the disaster relief. That’s not the case. Instead, she’s called into an underground car park where an unidentified man is found dead. It looks like he may have died in the flood, but could this be a coverup?

Watch After the Flood on Monday, May 13 on BritBox.

McDonald and Dodds Season 4

If you need something a little lighter, then you’ll want to keep BritBox for May 2024. McDonald and Dodds Season 4 arrives on the streamer. They are a complete mismatch when it comes to personalities, but they get the job done when it comes to investigating crimes.

In Season 4, the two will need to figure out who killed a middle-aged woman in her rented flat. All clues to her identity have been removed, but this is a woman DNA evidence says went missing 35 years ago! Where has she been, and why has she been killed now?

McDonald and Dodds Season 4 premieres on Thursday, May 23 with one episode. The other two follow weekly.

Accident, Suicide, or Murder Season 5

If you’re more in the mood for true crime, you’ll want to turn to Oxygen. There are some excellent shows that take you into real cases to see how they were solved—and sometimes how they’re still cold! Accident, Suicide, or Murder brings us into a world where murders are made to look like accidents and suicides so killers can get away with it.

The fifth season takes us into more stories. One is a woman who looks like she was accidentally killed in a car accident, while another is made to look like an accidental drowning in a hot tub. How did the police get to the bottom of the cases?

Accident, Suicide, or Murder Season 5 premieres on Saturday, May 18 on Oxygen.
