Does the dog die in A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Season 1?
If there is one thing we hate more, it’s the deaths of animals on our screens. This is especially the case with dogs, who are innocent, loyal creatures. So, when A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder featured a dog, we immediately worried.
If you’ve read the novel by Holly Jackson, you know what happens to Barney. And no, it’s not good. There was hope that there would be some more positive changes to the story when it came to the Netflix adaptation, though. After all, there are a few changes to the story, so why not this one?
Barney is taken in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
In some bad news, Barney is still taken during the investigation. Pip has to deal with threats to her life and the lives of friends and family because of her need to find out who killed Andie Bell.
Pip refuses to let this rest, though. This becomes more than just a school project for her. It becomes something that is important for her own mind.
It turned out that Pip was one of the last people to see Andie alive. She told Sal where Andie had gone in school, leading to a bit of regret and fear that she had led to Andie’s death. Only, it wasn’t Sal who did it, and Pip knew that deep down. It turned out that the meeting Sal was going to was actually to plan running away with Andie to get her away from her controlling father.
Barney dies in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder
Barney is taken and there are threats made against him. Pip does initially stop her investigation when this happens. She wants her dog back.
Well, she gets Barney back, but not alive. Becca, who was the one to take Barney and send her the threats, killed Barney in retaliation for Pip saying that she would go public with all the information she knew. It was just another reason to hate Andie’s sister, who turned out to be the actual killer.
Poor Barney!
