With the second season of Dr. Death now available to stream on Peacock, you’ll certainly want more. All eight episodes are available at once. You’ll be done by the end of the night.

This anthology series brings to light some of the worst cases in medical history. The show focuses on doctors who have committed fraud and have harmed patients despite their “do no harm” statement in their oath.

With more and more doctors out there, there’s no doubt that there are plenty of stories to tell. The question is whether Dr. Death will be renewed or not.

There is content for Dr. Death Season 3

Let’s just start with some good news. It’s not like the team behind the series is going to be short of content. The first two seasons have been based on seasons of the Wondery podcast. There are other seasons of this podcast to take stories from.

So far, the series has focused on the first and third seasons of the podcast. What about telling the stories from the second or fourth seasons? There may be doctors out in the world that the Wondery podcast hasn’t focused on yet that are interesting enough for the writers.

It all boils down to Peacock. Right now, fans need to binge-watch the entire second season. It’s up to the viewers to prove that this series is something worth continuing. With the rising costs of making TV and the contracts that came out of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, streamers may be looking for reasons to cancel shows and create cheaper content. We don’t want that to happen. The more we prove there is an audience, the more likely the shows are going to be renewed.

At least if it is canceled, there won’t be any cliffhangers. One of the benefits of an anthology series is that the storyline is wrapped up by the end.
