Elias Voit will need to say goodbye to his family in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2, Episode 4

There is only one thing Elias Voit wants right now in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2. It’s a chance to see his family. The problem is that family doesn’t want to see him.

That was until the most recent episode. We got to see what the home life of Sydney and her daughters is like now that the world knows Voit is a killer. It’s not great, with Sydney’s eldest daughter struggling with not being able to play soccer anymore. She took to cutting herself, while Sydney found out about.

With all this going on, Sydney realized that keeping her children away from Voit was damaging. They needed some closure, and that led to her bringing them to the BAU. Voit will get what he wants, but it’s on their terms.

Will Voit accept this as the only visit in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2?

This will be a win for Voit, though. With all the letters being returned unopened, Voit may see this as Sydney giving in. Maybe he will view it as the BAU convincing her.

Of course, we know that Sydney is doing what is best for her daughters. She is calling some of the shots here, and she will get to say no more visits after this. The question now is whether Voit will accept that this is goodbye and now work with the BAU to help catch Gold Star.

If he does accept it, what’s next for him? He’s gained what he wants. The BAU have nothing else to offer to be able to get him to work with them. He could decide to not share a thing now. Maybe life in prison isn’t as bad as he thought when he knows that he won’t get to see his family after this.

Or maybe there is some hope for Voit after this. By seeing Sydney and his daughters, he may have some hope that the door will be open in the future. If he works with the BAU, he can show that he is sorry for what he did. This is a man who is only sorry for getting caught, but that doesn’t mean everyone else has figured that out. Especially not his daughters.

Voit is manipulative. This isn’t the only thing he’ll have up his sleeve. It will be interesting to see if he actually says goodbye and accepts that in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2, Episode 4.
