When it comes to TV shows, FBI: Most Wanted has one of the most revolving doors when it comes to cast members. Some of these exits have been actor driven, while others are creative decisions from the show.

We’re getting ready for another cast exit. Alexa Davalos is leaving the series, and it isn’t her choice. She learned at the end of the fourth season that she wouldn’t be coming back, and now we know that FBI’s Shantel VanSanten will take her place. Nina Chase is joining the Fugitive Task Force.

We’ll see how all that plays out when the show returns. Until then, let’s take a look at some of the other big decisions throughout the season.

All the characters who have left FBI: Most Wanted in order

Nathaniel Arcand as Clinton Skye

The first season heavily focused on Jess LaCroix’s relationship with his in-laws. His wife passed away, but Jess made sure that his daughter Tali had a close relationship with her parents. He also worked with his brother-in-law, Clinton Skye.

Nathaniel Arcand suddenly disappeared from the series in the second season, with the character exit being explained as an independent mission. He was supposed to return in Season 3, and then he didn’t.

What happened? Well, it turns out that this may have been a schedule clash that turned permanent. He is in Killers of the Flower Moon with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Kellen Lutz as Kenny Crosby

The third season premiere brought us a shocking turn of events. Kellen Lutz’s character, Kenny Crosby, was shot and almost killed. After extensive surgery, fans learned that we would be saying goodbye to the character. Crosby would need to leave to live with his parents for recovery.

It turned out that this exit was Lutz’s decision. After the pandemic and the loss of both his grandfathers, he decided he wanted his children to grow up around family. He and his wife moved back to California from New York, where the series films. The exit has been left open for him to return.

His exit was the one that brought in Alexa Davalos as Kristen Gaines.

Julian McMahon as Jess LaCroix

The most shocking of exits on FBI: Most Wanted has probably been Julian McMahon’s. After all, he was the lead of the series from the beginning—and he was the reason a lot of people initially tuned in from his Charmed and Nip/Tuck days.

Jess looked like he was just about to get a happy ending. Then a case went wrong and he was killed in action with his work wife, Barnes, by his side to try to save him. It was a devastating moment as it was the first major loss of the whole series.

This was McMahon’s decision. He wanted to leave the show for new creative endeavors.

Miguel Gomez as Ivan Ortiz

Coming in as a replacement for Clinton Skye, Ivan Ortiz was originally part of the LAPD Gang Unit. He became a Special Agent and joined the Fugitive Task Force. His exit happened after the third season finale, and it was a surprise to all.

We learned in the Season 4 premiere that he left to care for his father back in Los Angeles. This exit was a creative decision on the show’s part. It is very similar to the way Gaines will be written out this season. Gomez has still not spoken about the exit.
