FBI: Most Wanted won't have new episodes in June 2024, but when is it back?

It's going to be a quiet summer for broadcast crime drama fans. FBI: Most Wanted is among the shows taking a break, but when will the new season air?

FBI: Most Wanted is on a break. There are no new episodes in June 2024, which isn’t all that surprising. There are no new episodes of all the big broadcast shows.

Yes, the entire FBI lineup, NCIS, and much more are off throughout the summer months. This is normal for broadcast shows. While it is disappointing that we only got a half-season for our shows last year due to the strike action, the summer break is necessary. This is when writing and production happens to make sure shows are ready for the fall.

So, eyes are on when FBI: Most Wanted will return. Do we need to wait until 2025?

CBS will bring FBI: Most Wanted back in the fall

In some great news, we don’t have to wait until the new year to watch the series. FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 will premiere in the fall. It will continue to air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, following a night of FBI and FBI: International.

CBS hasn’t set premiere dates just yet. That’s normal as we usually get premiere dates in July when production is able to start up. We can look at previous fall schedules to see when the premieres are likely to happen. We just have to take out last year and the pandemic year from this check as they were anomalies.

We’re likely to see FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 premiere around Tuesday, Sept. 24. This week is a standard week for CBS to bring shows back. There is a small chance that it could be the week before, but CBS tends to hold off until after the fall equinox as that is the official start of fall!

One thing to be aware of when the show returns is that we won’t see all characters in all episodes. Reducing the episode count for actors is a way to reduce the costs of creating the episodes, helping to keep the series on the air longer.
