As CBS gets ready for its fall schedule, it’s releasing the synopses of various premieres. The FBI Season 7 premiere is set to start up Katherine Renee Kane’s exit from the series.

Fans learned during the summer that there would be a change to the FBI cast. Kane is out, and fans immediately started to speculate why Tiffany would leave the team. The idea that it would come off the back of the Season 6 finale kept coming up.

The synopsis for the FBI Season 7 premiere is out, and Tiffany is mentioned. What’s going to happen?

Tiffany will struggle in the FBI Season 7 premiere

The synopsis tells us that Tiffany is going to struggling in the aftermath of the Hakim case from Season 6. It’s not exactly clear how she will struggle, but there is a chance that her decision to shoot Hakim at the end of the season will come back to haunt her.

We can all admit that Tiffany’s shot wasn’t the best. There was a question of whether Hakim had a gun. Maggie was sure he didn’t, but OA did eventually find one. The question is whether Tiffany’s life was actually at risk to warrant a good shooting.

Maybe that’s what she struggles with during the premiere. It’s possible that she knows it wasn’t a good shot, and now she has to live with the idea of killing someone out of revenge.

There’s also the possibility that she’s struggling with the loss of Agent Hobbs still. While she got what she viewed as justice for Hobbs, it doesn’t bring him back. We see time and time again in TV shows that getting revenge doesn’t mean there’s a change in feeling the loss. Sometimes it leaves someone without focus afterward, causing more pain and struggle.

It’s not clear how many episodes Kane will be in during FBI Season 7, but it certainly looks like we know how she’ll be written out. The question is whether she’ll choose to leave, or is Isabel will see that she needs to leave.

Take a look at the synopsis for the FBI Season 7 premiere:

"The assassination of a seemingly ordinary Brooklyn plumber launches the team into a globe-spanning investigation that ruffles feathers with the CIA. Meanwhile, Tiffany struggles with fieldwork in the aftermath of the Hakim case"
