Things are not so great for FBI fans, as we’re losing another cast member. Katherine Renee Kane is leaving the series during the upcoming seventh season.
As of right now, all we know is that Kane’s Tiffany Wallace will be in at least one episode of the season. This is likely to offer an actual exit storyline, which makes a chance for shows like this. Usually, we find out in the premiere episodes that characters have moved on to other places.
This is the first major FBI exit in four years. Kane came into the series after Ebonée Noel left the series after the Season 2 finale. This flagship FBI series has not suffered from a huge cast turnover in the way that both spin-offs, Most Wanted and International, have.
Did Katherine Renee Kane choose to leave FBI?
It doesn’t sound like it was Kane’s decision to leave the crime series. When actors have made the choice to leave, they usually share their reasons why. Julian McMahon, Kellen Lutz, and Luke Kleintank all gave their clear reasons for stepping away from characters they enjoyed playing.
Kane left a very standard statement for someone being creatively written out of the series. She shared:
"It was time to look towards new creative endeavors. ’m excited for the future and wish the show all the best."
This is disappointing, as there are a lot of fans of Tiffany Wallace out there. She brought in a very different viewpoint to the world of fighting crime, and she took on a huge part in the Season 6 storyline as everyone went after the terrorist who killed Agent Hobbs.
It is possible that Tiffany will be written out in a way that she chooses to leave the team. This makes sense with the series bringing a BAU agent into the field. Could the new agent realize that Tiffany is still blaming herself for the death of Hobbs, leading to her not working as effectively as she can in the field?
