While FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted have seen some major cast changes over the years, the flagship series has been a little more consistent. However, could it lose a major character after FBI Season 6? Is the show setting up for Missy Peregrym to leave the series?

Caution: This post contains spoilers from FBI Season 6, Episode 10.

A lot has changed in Maggie’s personal life over the seasons. In the recent season, she’s become a mother figure for Ella, the daughter of her fallen friend. In the most recent episode at a cult compound, Maggie was shot. Just a little lower and she wouldn’t have survived. Fortunately, her Kevlar vest protected her.

This is something that Maggie brought up to OA. However, we all know Maggie—and OA certainly does. She wouldn’t ask for time off, even though she clearly needs it. So, OA went to Isobel instead and asked her to pull Maggie from the field. Isobel seems to be contemplating this decision.

Is Missy Peregrym leaving FBI?

Let’s start by saying that there are no current signs that Peregrym is leaving the series. Of course, there were no signs that Julian McMahon or Kellan Lutz were leaving Most Wanted—and with Lutz, we only got confirmation after his exit. Luke Kleintank has just announced he’s leaving FBI: International, and there were no signs before this.

Shows can keep exits under wraps until they happen. This usually helps to keep storylines a surprise. After all, when a character is being written out, fans usually look out for signs as to how that could happen—whether it’s going to be a slow buildup to an exit or it’s going to be a shocking death.

Peregrym has been out of FBI a couple of times while on maternity leave. We usually find out about this ahead of time, and we know that she will return afterward. There has been no statement of whether Peregrym is having another baby yet, so it’s not likely that this storyline has been added into the series to set up a temporary exit again.

Right now, I doubt that FBI is setting up for Peregrym’s exit just yet. That’s not to say it definitely won’t happen, but there are no signs that this storyline isn’t just a creative one to keep people tuning in, especially with the week off coming up.
