Found Season 2 is getting a full season: Here's the episode count
Found was one of the big successes of the 2023–2024 season when it came to new shows. It was such a success that NBC made it clear early on that Found Season 2 would be part of the fall schedule.
It didn’t take long for NBC to confirm that with the release of the schedule at the May Upfronts. The series will move nights, though. It will now air on Thursdays after two hours of Law & Order shows. The series is taking Law & Order: Organized Crime’s slot as that series moves to Peacock.
The move isn’t all that surprising. This was the originally intended timeslot for the series in the 2023–2024 season until everything changed due to the strike action in the summer. The show works well with Law & Order as it focuses on missing people and involves a private company rather than a police force.
How many episodes will Found Season 2 get
The first season had 13 episodes. The series was originally intended to be a midseason show in the 2022–2023 season. Then with the strike action looming, NBC changed tactics and put it on in the fall. Due to the strike action, the decision was made to keep it to 13 episodes. After all, it ended in the perfect way and there was no need to try to drag out the overarching storyline.
What about Season 2, though? Well, there will be more episodes. NBC has confirmed a full season. According to TVLine, the series will have 22 episodes this season.
This will likely mean more standalone cases that doesn’t focus on Sir as much. At the end of the first season, Sir escaped. We know that he is at Lacey’s home, and Gabi has figured that out. However, Lacey is so angry that Gabi kept is a secret that she had Sir in her basement that Lacey refused to answer Gabi’s call. It gives Sir a chance to take Lacey, making the season-long arc focused on finding Lacey.
Found Season 2 will air on Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC in fall 2024.
