Is Torres going to leave Chicago PD?

It’s been some time since we’ve seen Torres in Chicago PD. A lot of fans are questioning where he is, but we get a big episode for him on Wednesday, April 3. The question is whether it will be his last.

Up to this point, Torres has put himself in a questionable situation. He didn’t just turn the wife of a cartel boss. He is now sleeping with her.

The promo for Chicago PD Season 12, Episode 9 makes it clear that his secret is going to come out. Burgess finds out, and she’s concerned about what this means. Not only will Torres lose his job, but he will lose his freedom—and then on top of that, he puts himself at the risk of death at the hands of the cartel boss.

Will Torres run away with his love in Chicago PD?

The promo then shows Gloria telling Torres that she needs to leave. He should come with her. Torres is now left with a choice.

He could end things with Gloria and hope that his relationship with her doesn’t get back to Rafael. He’d then have to hope that she doesn’t feel like a woman scorned if he chooses his job over her, and he will need to tell Voight everything.

The other option is that he resigns and leaves. It wouldn’t make sense for him to do this, though. Torres had just come back from furlough to look after his sick mother. It’s clear that family means the world to him, and he wouldn’t just run away with the wife of a cartel boss when he has so much keeping him in Chicago.

This is sure to set up a bigger storyline for Intelligence as Season 12 comes to an end. While we probably won’t see Torres leave during this episode, we could see his job and his life on the line before the season closes.
