Jace has a theory about the bombing in The Irrational

The Irrational returned with an episode rather personal to Alec. It all ended with a potential theory about the bombing at the church.

While Alec realized that they would need to look at who had the most to lose in the fire during The Irrational Season 1, Episode 8, the focus for the past is on who had the most to gain. Jace has a theory about the bombing on the church.

I was expecting Alec to start having some memories unlocked during this episode. He was caught in the middle of a fire, leading to some flashbacks of the past. I almost thought that he would unlock something crucial to get to the bottom of the case.

Instead, it was Jace who may have figured someone out. Who would gain from the bombing at the church? How about a four-term sitting senator?

Did a politician order the bombing in The Irrational?

The theory itself seems a little far-fetched. However, I will say that it doesn’t seem all that improbable. There has to be a reason Marisa is even considering looking into Jace’s theory.

He thinks that it could be the politician who was the candidate at the campaign event that night at the church. What if he orchestrated the attack? He wasn’t running in the polls at first. When the tragedy happened, he was able to take control of the narrative. He used it to push his campaign forward. The Black community responded in a positive way for his campaign after the violence.

I wouldn’t put it past a politician to orchestrate some sort of major tragedy to play off it. I guess I’ve seen so many dodgy politicians in the past utilize genuine tragedies that I wouldn’t be shocked if something turned out to be planned.

I would have just loved to see Alec unlock a memory as he had the flashbacks. Instead, his storyline was more to help the victim, Izzy, who suffered from burns and survivor’s guilt.
