The Law & Order: Organized Crime team needs special help to rescue Stabler. Check out a promo for a thrilling new episode.

After taking a week off on Thursday, March 7 for NBC’s coverage of the State of the Union address, Law & Order: Organized Crime is back with a new episode. The show continues the storyline of Stabler’s search for a missing girl, which leads to the discovery of a serial killer in a small community.

The show upped the stakes, with Stabler uncovering a trail of corruption in the town heads, who want to cover up darker crimes. This may put him in the crosshairs of the killer in this new episode. Check out a preview.

The promo for “Original Sin” features Dann Florek returning as former SVU boss Donald Cragen. He’s shown talking with Bell about Stabler being in trouble, which might simply be him facing issues with Internal Affairs.

However, we then see Stabler being held prisoner in some sort of chamber, likely by the killer. The task force has to race against time to rescue him as Stabler fights to survive.

Law & Order: Organized Crime 4x07 synopsis

The team has been having their own issues as Bell is recovering from being shot. Meanwhile, Reyes and Jet have been wrestling with their affair, with Reyes revealing he and his wife were getting a divorce, but he had to go on leave for a few months to get his head on straight.

The serial killer case has taken twists as the local police chief, Bonner, has been trying to aid Stabler in rescuing another kidnapped woman. It seemed to end with a suspect killing himself, but the final moments hinted the real killer was actually Bonner’s brother and their powerful judge father was hushing the whole thing up.

Ignoring his career in jeopardy, Stabler is still out to uncover the truth, and this may cost him big time in an exciting new Law & Order: Organized Crime unless the team can find him in time.

"The squad backs up Stabler in pursuing a murder case outside of their jurisdiction as an unlikely ally provides a key piece of evidence. Bell works to find a way to get Stabler back on the job."

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 airs Thursdays at 10/9c on NBC and streams the following day on Peacock.
