We'll get to meet Smitty's mom on the May 7 episode of FBI: International

We don’t know all that much about Smitty’s life outside of Europol in FBI: International. That’s about to change when the team heads to London for a new case.

The Tuesday, May 7 episode is going to be a big one. This is Luke Kleintank’s last episode of Forrester. It’s still not clear how he will come out of the series, but the promo doesn’t make it look like he is making a choice to leave.

The episode involves a former IRA member who is now a U.S. citizen. When he’s attacked and killed in an explosion, the Fly Team move in to get to the bottom of it. Was he attacked for informing on the IRA? That certainly seems to be the case.

Smitty’s mom is in FBI: International Season 3, Episode 11

When Teri Polo was announced as joining the cast in an undisclosed role, there were a few suspicions that she would play a character’s mom. While some wondered if Elizabeth Mitchell’s character would undergo plastic surgery, others through either Smitty or Tate.

Well, it’s definitely not Smitty. Pippa Haywood will come into FBI: International Season 3, Episode 11 as Smitty’s mom. Since the team is in London, it makes sense to head back to Smitty’s home and see her family. Things aren’t looking great. There is usually a reason people don’t like to talk about their families.

Is Smitty going to see her mom for help with the case? It’s likely that she has decided to pay her mom a visit since she’s in town. After all, there won’t be too many opportunities for the Europol agent to head back home, especially with how much she’s on the road with the Fly Team.

Will the case be linked to a former FBI: International episode?

This isn’t the first time the IRA has come up in FBI: International. The Fly Team headed out to Belfast in one episode as one of Kellett’s informants had information about a robbery and a murder. This did have ties to the IRA, and it also led to Forrester covering for Kellett by lying for her.

Is it time for that to come up? Things like that usually don’t just disappear, and yet the show never did bring it back up. With Kellett’s exit, it seemed like it would never come up again, but the inclusion of the IRA once more could open that door.
