We love to learn more about the characters of NCIS: Hawaii and other crime dramas. This helps us connect to them. One we haven’t learned too much about is Boone.

There was hope that we would get to meet some more of Boone’s family, especially his wife, in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3. He talks about her and his family, so isn’t it time that we get to see her? It’s not often that we see federal agents get to have a happy marriage, but Boone seems to balance most of it. So, how does he do it?

There were once hints that we would see more of his personal life in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3. That sadly now isn’t going to be the case

Heather Boone will not appear in NCIS: Hawaii Season 3

TVLine brought fans confirmation of some bad news. Heather will not appear in the season. We also won’t meet any of Boone’s other family members.

This isn’t to do with poor writing or poor planning. It is all to do with the strikes during the summer. Those strikes meant that a few storylines had to be removed from the original plan. There are only 10 episodes to the season! Yes, 10! That’s not a lot of time to add in some personal storylines.

The show is heavily focused on other personal storylines right now. We have Lucy and Kate, who seem to not quite be in lover’s paradise as they seemed to be at first. Then there’s everything going on between Sam and Jane right now, as Sam certainly seems to be overstaying his welcome at NCIS HQ.

Boone is getting the short end of the stick, though. He’s the one we know the least about, and it’s time to bring in his family.

NCIS: Hawaii airs on Mondays at 10/9c on CBS.
