As of right now, the new episode of NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 is going to be the series finale. We’re not happy, but that’s the way it is for now.
This is a two-part finale, and the creators have warned us that it wasn’t written as a finale. This isn’t like NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles where there was time to craft some sort of closure for some of the characters. Hawaii was abruptly and unfairly canceled, and fans are rallying together in an attempt to save it.
It won’t mean a huge cliffhanger, but there are going to be some open storylines. The question is whether one of them is with Sam Hana, who isn’t looking great in the promo for the new episode.
NCIS: Hawaii 3x10 promo
The promo for the episode shows Sam with a gas mask on and then running without it. He collapses on the ground and tells Tennant and Boone to stand back.
We know that there has been a bioweapon released, and it looks like Sam may have been hit with that. He may not know if the bioweapon can be passed on through touch, so he won’t want Tennant and Boone to be exposed. However, he will need to get medical help immediately.
NCIS: Hawaii 3x10 synopsis
The synopsis also tells us that the team is dealing with the aftermath of the previous episode. There was am ambush with a deadly bioweapon. Now the team will need to track down the terrorist group. They and ELITE just have no idea who this group is. How can you track someone down before they strike again when you don’t have a starting point?
And will Sam’s health take over? No, we know the team. They are very good at remaining focused on the mission and then checking in on their team members. Sam wouldn’t want them worrying about him when there’s a mission, anyway.
"Following a devastating ambush with a deadly bioweapon, the NCIS team must track down a mysterious terrorist group before they can strike again, on the conclusion of the two-part third season finale. "
We are still salty that this is going to be the NCIS: Hawaii series finale right now. This is a show that shouldn’t have been canceled. It should have at least been given a final season order, even if it was a half season to wrap things up.
NCIS: Hawaii’s series finale airs on Monday, May 6 at 10/9c on CBS.
