Sam gets personal with Tennant in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere
Sam Hanna tries not to get too personal in his work. That’s going to change in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere.
We know LL Cool J will appear in a few episodes of NCIS: Hawaii Season 3. The appearances start in the premiere, with Sam being the one to assess whether Tennant is ready to get back in the field with her team. She needs him to clear her for duty.
It looks like she has a lot to deal with. That’s not surprising considering the betrayals she’s faced during Season 2. It looks like Sam will get personal to help her deal with some of those betrayals.
Sam revisits his past in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere
According to TVLine, we’ll get to see Sam revisit the time of his wife’s death. He’ll revisit how he reacted during that time, which fans of NCIS: Los Angeles will remember was a difficult time.
For those who didn’t watch the LA-based series, Hanna’s wife, Michelle, was also a special agent. She worked with the CIA in a deep undercover operation that led to her being abducted. The abduction was a way for Tahir Khaled to get revenge on Sam, and it led to Michelle being tortured and killed.
Sam and the team got there too late. It was a heartbreaking end to the eighth season, and we saw the aftermath of it all in the ninth season. Sam hasn’t revisited those feelings all that much, but he’ll need to when it comes to helping Tennant. He doesn’t want her going down a similar path to the one he went down.
There are sure to be some heavy moments in the NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premiere. At the same time, it’s going to be exciting to see Sam and Tennant work together closely.
NCIS: Hawaii Season 3 premieres on Monday, Feb. 12 at 10/9c on CBS.
