NCIS: Origins finds its spot with the flagship series in the 2024–2025 schedule

NCIS: Origins is one of the new shows on the slate for fall 2024. CBS has set the schedule, and now we know when it will air.

CBS has set the fall 2024 schedule. In fact, it’s even given us a look at the spring schedule for the 2024–2025 season. NCIS: Origins will be part of the fall lineup, and the placement is not that surprising at all.

NCIS: Origins is a series about a younger Gibbs. We’ll get to see Leroy Jethro Gibbs as he joins NCIS and works under Mike Franks. This is just after the murders of Shannon and Kelly Gibbs, so he’s a man with a lot of fresh anger and grief.

It’s not that surprising then that CBS has opted to air the show in the timeslot behind the flagship series.

NCIS: Origins will air on Mondays in fall 2024

CBS will premiere NCIS: Origins in fall 2024. It will air on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Yes, this is NCIS: Hawaii’s current timeslot. That series is still wrapping up at the end of Season 3. It was a shock cancellation, and we are getting ready for a cliffhanger ending. There is still a campaign to save the show, but CBS has made it clear that it won’t bring it back.

It does make sense to put NCIS: Origins on in that timeslot, though. Even if NCIS: Hawaii was coming back, it wouldn’t have surprised me if the show moved to another night. I would have loved to see an NCIS Monday lineup, but that isn’t fully possible with an hour of comedy to kick-start the night.

There isn’t a set premiere date just yet for the shows. That’s not surprising as May is usually the time to release the schedule but not the premiere dates. We’ll get the premiere dates in June or July. However, we are expecting sometime in mid-to-late-September. There is no way that this TV schedule will be pushed to the midseason like the 2023–2024 one.

Where will NCIS: Origins stream?

Can’t stay up until 10 p.m. or watching Monday Night Football? That’s okay! There will be another option to watch the series. Just like NCIS, this series will head to Paramount+ the following day.
