As we enter the summer break for TV, Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are joining forces to help fans through it. They’re bringing us an NCIS rewatch podcast.

This rewatch podcast begins tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4. Episodes will drop weekly, and here’s what we know about the podcast so far.

Spotify is the only place with the episodes

It looks like this podcast is going to be exclusive to Spotify. That’s based on the wording of the TVLine article about it. You will be able to listen with a free Spotify account, but there are ads included in this and there are limitations to listening when you’re on the move.

The title of the podcast is Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch. There is a trailer for the podcast, which includes the names of some of the guests who will be on the show. You can follow the podcast so that episodes are pushed to your account right away away.

Will the NCIS rewatch go through every single episode?

There are 1000 episodes within the NCISverse all together. There are almost 500 episodes in the flagship series alone. There just won’t be enough time for the duo to work through all of those episodes.

Instead, this is going to focus on some of the most iconic episodes. There will be guest stars each week, and it’s likely that the episodes chosen to rewatch will link to the guest stars in some way.

There is no word on how long this podcast will go. Weatherly and de Pablo will be heading to Budapest in the summer to film their NCIS spin-off series, so that will get in the way of some filming. However, the podcast episodes are likely already recorded so a summer break could make sense and then everyone can record more episodes as things quieten down.

Expect behind-the-scenes topics

You know what happened on-screen, but what about what happened behind-the-scenes? That’s something this podcast series will go into. There are hints at some of the topics that come up, such as someone running through a car wash. We’ll get to hear the stories never told before, pulling fans into the series in a completely different way.

Who will guest star on Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch?

The trailer makes it clear that Sasha Alexander, Eric Christian Olsen, and Jon Cryer are among the guest stars. You’ll remember Alexander as Kate Todd and Olsen as Deeks in NCIS: Los Angeles, but yes, Cryer was in an episode of the series. He was a guest star in Season 13!

The TVLine article also shares that Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, and Daniela Ruah will also be on episodes of the podcast. It’s not clear if Ruah will be on at the same time as Olsen. It makes sense to keep Kensi and Deeks together, right?
