Is a new episode of Found on tonight? (Jan. 23, 2024)

While we didn’t get many new shows in fall 2023, NBC brought us a good one. It quickly became all about Found.

The missing person drama was more than just another look at people finding, well, missing people. There wasn’t even the standard “my child went missing, so I got into this” storyline. Instead, the push for lead character Gabi Mosely was in her own history of being one of the missing.

In fact, it was much darker than her just healing from that trauma. We quickly found out that she’d captured her captor and was holding him hostage. Sir had to help her solve cases, and he did, but it quickly came at a price. He had the opportunity to mess with her mind even as a captive.

It all accumulated to that huge cliffhanger ending last week. Now we need more, but there is some bad news. Despite only returning two weeks ago, the show is back on a break. And this one is a long one.

When will Found return to NBC?

The previous episode was the Season 1 finale. It’s no wonder that the cliffhanger was so big then. Why wouldn’t the show bring us something major to make sure that we tune in for Season 2 whenever that may happen.

The good news is NBC has already renewed the series. So, now we’re just waiting for when it will return. Of course, there isn’t an idea as to when it could return just yet. We’ll find out in May 2024 at the Upfronts if it will be part of the fall schedule.

While the show was originally planned for the midseason, it was pushed to the fall to make sure NBC had new content to run seeing that the strike action was sure to happen and go long. It performed well in the fall, suggesting that NBC will want to keep it to a fall release come Season 2.
