Bobby is getting a little meta in 911 Season 8

911 Season 7 ended with Bobby retiring. While he decided against that in the end, he's no longer the captain of the 118. What's in store for him in 911 Season 8?

Bobby Nash went through a lot in 911 Season 7. Feeling like he had continuously failed and wasn’t worthy of awards, he went on a journey of figuring out who he was and what he had achieved.

It all led to him deciding it was time to retire from firefighting. However, he changed his mind after he went through a breakthrough on his past. He accepted that it wasn’t his fault that his dad had died, and it was time to get back to work.

That’s not going to be so simple in 911 Season 8. As he walked back into the 118, he found out that he was no longer captain. In fact, it looks like he’s no longer working for the LA Fire Department.

Bobby Nash is a consultant in 911 Season 8

The series is getting a little meta during 911 Season 8. Bobby will move from firefighting to becoming a consultant, and not in a good way. He’s going to Hollywood, where he’ll be a consultant on a firefighting show. This show is not one bit accurate to the world of firefighting, and I almost feel like the series is joshing about itself.

This is sure to eat at Bobby. He’ll hate that this is how the world sees firefighters, especially when his 118 family is out there risking their lives doing the real job. We’re sure to see some hilarious conversations with Athena and maybe even Buck, Chimney, or Hen.

Will Bobby Nash get back with the 118 in 911 Season 8?

The question for everyone is whether Bobby will end up back with the 118, though. He opted for retirement, and it’s not always easy to come back from that. The LA Fire Department found someone to take Bobby’s place.

Of course, the man who is taking over as Captain of the 118 is Captain Gerrard. He’s not a good man or a good firefighter. With his racism and homophobia, he’s sure to create problems for each member of the 118. There isn’t going to be one on the team that he likes! This could put their jobs at risk, but if they all band together, maybe they can fight for Bobby to get his position back.

911 Season 8 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8/7c on ABC.
