Despite the way the previous episode of Criminal Minds: Evolution ended, there’s some bad news. There won’t be any answers to our burning questions tonight.

We’re used to watching new episodes in the middle of the night on Thursdays. Well, technically in the wee hours of Thursday morning. We get ready throughout the day for it to make sure we have our snacks and that we’re ready for a late one—or early if you go to bed and wake up just to watch it.

There’s no point planning that tonight. There definitely won’t be a new episode.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 has come to an end

In some disappointing news, Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 2 has ended. The previous episode was the Season 2 finale, which explains so much closure but also the cliffhanger.

The BAU managed to take down Gold Star, and it didn’t involving killing the last two members. Jade did take the life of another person and put Emily’s life on the line, but in the end, Emily and the BAU were able to prove to Jade and her accomplice, Pete, that they had been manipulated by many people.

And so, they stopped the attack and surrendered. Both Jade and Pete were arrested, but Emily made sure they were able to see people who cared about them, and that they would be able to get the help they needed.

The end of the episode did bring us the cliffhanger, though. Voit was stabbed, leading to questions about whether he’ll survive or not.

When will Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 premiere?

The good news is that we’ll get a third season. The show was renewed ahead of the Season 2 premiere, meaning that we were able to enjoy everything that Erica Messer and her team threw at us. And it was a lot!

Now eyes are on when we’ll get the premiere. That’s hard to say, but it isn’t unreasonable to think that it could happen in 2025. Maybe summer or fall 2025. This show doesn’t take too long to film and get through post-production.
