Only Murders in the Building scores early Season 5 renewal

It’s extremely rare for a series now to get more than four seasons. In fact, we’re lucky to get two or three seasons. Well, Only Murders in the Building has proven that it’s wanted, and Hulu is listening to that.

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 is officially happening, according to TVLine. The renewal comes in just days after the first episodes of the series dropped, with the premiere featuring the ever-popular Scott Bakula.

Of course, this is bad news for the tenants of the Arconia. It means another murder is around the corner, and they will need to make sure they bolt their doors! Is this Arconia getting a little like Midsomer where people should just get out of dodge?

So far, the episode count hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s likely to be 10 episodes. This would match all four seasons already gone. The only reason to reduce the episode count at this point would be financially, but the series is performing well for Hulu.

So, we’ll have to wait until the end of Season 4. There is usually a murder that happens to push us into the next season’s storyline. We’ve always come across a new murder for the trio of podcasters to solve. It looks like the fifth season will be back in New York, though. During the fourth season, we’ll see them head back to their home city after an initial trip to Hollywood to help figure out whether Sazz or Charles was the intended murder victim.
