Only Murders in the Building Season 4 will see the podcast turn into a movie

We knew Only Murders in the Building Season 4 would see the podcasting trio head to Hollywood. When that was announced, we thought the murder investigation would lead them there. Instead, it’s going to be because the podcast is being turned into a movie.

The end of Only Murders in the Building Season 3 saw someone attempt to kill Charles. It turned out that his stunt double walked into Charles’s apartment. The killer believed it to be Charles and shot. We thought that mean the investigation would take them to Hollywood.

Well, we thought wrong. It turns out that someone in Hollywood wants to turn the podcast into a movie. That’s something mentioned in the trailer for the season, and now we know who will play Charles, Mabel, and Oliver in the movie.

Meet the movie version of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel in Only Murders in the Building Season 4

There has been some great casting for Only Murders in the Building Season 4, but the roles those people would play were kept quiet. Well, now the cat is out of the bag.

TVLine reports that Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, and Eva Longoria will take on some important roles when our trio of podcasters head to Hollywood. They will play Charles, Oliver, and Mabel respectively. The image that the series has brings the characters in their costumes from the first season of the TV series.

What’s going to be fun to see is the three actors playing themselves as well as fictionalized versions of our fictional trio. This series really is getting meta.

What’s not clear is whether any of them have some sort of involvement in the murder investigation. Someone wanted Charles dead. It would seem like that is something big, and Charles wouldn’t really want to leave New York while he figures out who is after him. Mabel and Oliver will want to get to the bottom of who tried to kill their friend!

For part of the season, we will get a trip to Hollywood!
