Reacher Season 3 adds to the cast (who is returning and who is new?)

Reacher is making big plans for Season 3 and adding some notable new stars! Find out who will be joining Season 3 next year!

Based on the books by Lee Child, Reacher stars Alan Ritchson in the title role of Jack Reacher, a former Army Investigator who now wanders the countryside. As smart as he is physical, Reacher often finds himself in trouble and doing his best to help others. 

The books often have Reacher in different adventures, which means it’s rare he meets the same characters again. The TV seems to work the same way as the Season 2 cast was different from Season 1. An exception was Malcolm Goodwin, who made a brief cameo as his Season 1 character, Oscar Finlay. 

Season 3 appears to continue that trend as it’s based on the novel Persuader, with Reacher going undercover to save someone connected to his past. Obviously, Ritchson will return as Reacher, but it looks like the only other past face returning is Maria Sten as Reacher’s old ally, Frances Neagley. 

Now, Season 3 is adding a few new faces, one of whom may be the villain of the year, while the other could be a new ally. 

Who is joining Reacher Season 3?

Per Deadline, Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy have been cast for Reacher Season 3. 

Per the descriptions, Hall plays “Zachary Beck, a formidable and successful businessman, Beck is a widower and single father of a 20-year-old son, Richard. He is the owner of a rug import company that Reacher and his cohorts suspect is a cover for a more nefarious operation.”

The former star of such classic 1980s movies as The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Weird Science, Hall has since become a popular adult actor with TV shows like The Dead Zone, The Goldbergs and more. He’s a good casting for the role of the seemingly nice guy who turns out to be the villain.

Cassidy plays “Sarah Duffy, an extremely intelligent and tough DEA agent from Boston with a sharp and sarcastic sense of humor.” The British actress is known for roles in Vera, The Paradise, Lodge 49, and The Last Kingdom. It seems likely she turns out to be Reacher’s love interest for this season. 

Production is underway, so it’s likely there will be more castings announced as Reacher looks to get even wilder for Season 3.
