FBI: Most Wanted is finally returning for Season 5, and not only does it have a new agent joining, but Remy is finding more time for his newfound family! Here’s what to know!

Like all CBS shows, FBI: Most Wanted has been in a long waiting pattern due to the strikes hitting Hollywood across the summer of 2023. That put off production of Season 5, which only got going again in December of 2023 after the SAG strike was settled.

The Season 4 finale was a big one as Remy (Dylan McDermott) finally accepted that Lucas Davis did not kill Remy’s brother Mikey years ago. Having been wrongly imprisoned, a dying Davis hoped Remy could clear his name.

With the aid of the team, Remy discovered a classmate had killed Mikey in a jealous rage over both dating the same girl. His rich family and incompetent cops helped him get off for the crime, with poor Lucas blamed.

The guy was arrested, but sadly, Lucas had passed away before he could be exonerated. Remy was further rocked to learn that Mikey’s girlfriend had been pregnant when he died. The final scene had Remy meeting his nephew, Corey, a medical intern.

That story looks to play into the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere, which will also have a new face on the squad.

What is the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere about?

A big change for the show is that Alexa Davalos has left the series in a creative decision. There’s no word on how her Kristin Gaines will be written out of the show, but Shantel VanSanten will now be a regular reprising her role as FBI Agent Nina Chase. “Above and Beyond” will be her debut in the role.

"“When a mysterious deal goes south, leaving behind multiple bodies, the Fugitive Task Force heads to Virginia to put the pieces together with the help of a familiar face and new addition to the team, Special Agent Nina Chase (new series regular Shantel VanSanten). Also, Remy continues to grapple with the aftermath of connecting with his long-lost nephew.”"

The focus will be the main case and Nina coming on board. It’s assumed this takes place months after the FBI Season 5 finale where Nina gave birth and she’s getting back to work while balancing motherhood.

However, the fallout of Remy learning he’s an uncle and trying to bond with Corey should give a personal push to the episode. This makes the FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 premiere a huge one for fans of the show.
