Will Melanie sacrifice a life or the train in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 2?

The Snowpiercer Season 4 premiere mostly took place in New Eden. There were some hints of things that will happen on the train, though, and the second episode of the season takes us to those events.

At the end of the premiere, we found out that some international peacekeepers have boarded the train. It’s rather ironic that these “peacekeepers” have forced their way onto a train that was harming nobody. The main theory is that Wilford managed to get to them, and he has twisted the story to make it look like Melanie and everyone else is a threat to the world.

One thing that is clear, though, is that there are other survivors out there. We knew that based on Season 3’s storyline with Asha. Now we have more people, and it’s time to find out how they survived.

Melanie makes a hard choice in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 2

The synopsis for the episode makes it clear that most of the story will take place on the train. Milius has led his Animal Squad to the train, and now he wants to take over. Melanie doesn’t want that to happen, though.

So, Melanie decides to lock down the train. It’s the best way to keep Milius and his squad away from the engine room. The problem is there are people trapped in there with Millus, and they are put in danger. Most specifically, Ben is put in danger. With his life on the line, it looks like Melanie is willing to sacrifice control of the train. He did choose Melanie over the hope of New Eden, so it’s not surprising that she is willing to sacrifice the control of the train.

What does the Animal Squad want, though? We know this same squad is a threat to New Eden nine months later. We also know that something happens to Miss Aubrey to land her in the drawer train to New Eden.
