Some of the writing for Snowpiercer Season 4 has been a little too obvious. Why take Liana if it wasn’t to lure Layton into a trap?
At the end of Episode 3, the people of New Eden agreed to allow Layton and his crew to head off with Big Alice to find Snowpiercer. It doesn’t take long for them to find the smaller train, and we know in Episode 4 that Big Alice will catch up to Snowpiercer.
Will they realize it’s all a trap? That certainly seems so.
Layton and Josie need to rethink their plan in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 4
It’s all been too easy for Big Alice to catch up to Snowpiercer at this point. One thing is clear: Milius is constantly multiple steps ahead of everyone else. He’s been using the Greenhouse Car for something, killing the food and retrofitting it with some sort of chemical.
It looks like this was all linked to Layton getting back to Snowpiercer in search for his daughter. However, Layton and Josie are smart people. When Layton isn’t driven by his own selfish needs, he can think about the way other people plot. He and Josie will realize that this is all some sort of trap. So, they figure out another way onto Snowpiercer.
We should also see Nima finally grow a backbone. He doesn’t want to go through with Milius’s plan, but there’s little he can do at this point. Well, we find out that he heads to the Greenhouse Car to disabled whatever trap has been set up for Layton. The question is whether Nima really is on Layton’s side, or whether he has his own motives. He’s a chemist; it’s clear he has some other motives but maybe not as nefarious as Milius’s motives.
Take a look at the synopsis for Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 4:
"Big Alice catches up to Snowpiercer; Milius radios them, inviting Layton over; sensing a trap, Layton and Josie sneak onto Snowpiercer; Nima is worried Layton will be gassed and attempts to disarm the Greenhouse Car."
