Snowpiercer Season 4 is just around the corner, and we can’t wait. AMC has treated us to a sneak peek of the series, with the focus on Layton and New Eden.

It’s the season we didn’t think we’d see at one point. Picking up nine months after the Season 3 finale, we will get to see where Layton is with the growth of New Eden and what Melanie is doing now that she is back to leading Snowpiercer.

The sneak peek takes us to New Eden, and it starts with Layton running through what look to be carriages. He’s racing not away from danger but to something that is adorable and sweet, something that any great father would do. I’m so excited to see Layton as a father!

Take a look at the sneak peek before we break down what it means:

The growth of New Eden in Snowpiercer Season 4

One thing that this sneak peek tells us is that the people came together to create New Eden. They needed to figure out a lot to survive right away, including growing food again and setting up a camp. They’re using the carriages from Big Alice to create bunkers, which are sure to be needed. While the Earth is liveable here, there are sure to be weather fronts that make outside unsafe at times.

The temperatures are much warmer than we’ve seen in the series before, though. Everyone is wearing winter coats rather than full suits to allow them to face the frigid temperatures. There are smiles on faces as they live in what seems to be harmony.

However, it’s clear that Layton and the others still think about Melanie. They want to get in touch with Snowpiercer, but Melanie hasn’t responded. Is that because they’re in trouble, or is it because they’re just too far away? We’ll have to wait for the Snowpiercer Season 4 premiere to find out.

Snowpiercer Season 4 premieres on Sunday, July 21 on AMC and AMC+.
