Snowpiercer comes full circle in the series finale (preview)
Four seasons ago, we watched as Layton and the other Tailies stowed away on Snowpiercer to prevent their deaths. They would fight to bring the whole of Snowpiercer together.
Over the course of those four seasons, a lot has changed. Some are now living in New Eden, while others were forced to retrofit Snowpiercer for Nima’s big plan. However, everything has come full circle in the series.
The Snowpiercer series finale promises a big finish that sees a fight from the Tail of the train once more.
The Tailies fight to get to the front of the train in the Snowpiercer series finale
At the end of the previous episode, we saw Layton, Josie, and others fight their way back onto the train. They were not going to let Nima take both Snowpiercer and Big Alice without a fight. Not only would this destroy New Eden, but it would also destroy the whole world.
However, they are back in the Tail. It means a fight to the front of the train again. This is something the Tailies have become skilled at by now, and those Tailies know how to stick together and fight.
It looks like some may not make it out alive, though. Based on the synopsis, we are worried about Ruth. She’ll be captured as the Tailies work their way up. This is sure to be Nima’s bargaining chip to make sure his rockets go off. We know Ruth would sacrifice herself to save the world if she needed to, but she’s also a fighter. She’s sure to find a way out of trouble, right?
Nima wants to set off his rockets in Snowpiercer
Melanie and Alex have been working together to save the world. Knowing that Nima couldn’t be stopped in a conventional way, Melanie made it look like she was working with him. However, she and Alex have been working against him.
The only way to stop Nima at this point, though, is to kill him. He isn’t listening to reason. Melanie’s data shows that Gemini will destroy the whole world. New Eden isn’t being selfish in not wanting to share their land. Nima is being selfish by rushing out a chemical that isn’t going to work. He’s just too blind to see that his science is flawed. He won’t stop until he’s set off those rockets.
Check out the synopsis for the Snowpiercer series finale:
"Nima heads for Snowpiercer; Layton and the Tailies fight their way uptrain when Ruth is captured; Nima tries to cut a deal and runs to the rocket control room to initiate the launch sequence."
Will Snowpiercer end with some sort of happy ending, or will it involve total destruction? It’s hard to say which way the show will go at this point.
