If you need a mixture of crime and legal but want it in the form of a comedy, So Help Me Todd is the series to turn to. There isn’t a new episode on tonight, Thursday, April 4.

The series has taken a few weeks off, like the rest of Thursday night dramas. It’s been all about the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships over the last few weeks. Most shows are on their way back this week, but that’s not the case for the Skylar Astin-led series.

There isn’t even a rerun on tonight, Thursday, April 4. CBS will have two episodes of the new series Elsbeth on tonight, instead.

When will So Help Me Todd return with new episodes?

The good news is there will be a new episode of the series coming up soon. The show is just taking an extra week off, with a scheduled return on Thursday, April 11. We even have some details on what to expect when the show does return.

Todd and Margaret will need to take on a case that involves someone they are close to. An international opera star needs a defense team. This star just happens to be Lyle’s mother. They know they shouldn’t mix personal and business, but when have Todd and Margaret ever actually followed that rule?

The break shouldn’t be too much of a concern for the series. It’s purely CBS trying to catch up with the Elsbeth schedule, which has only aired one episode so far. The series premiere arrived on Thursday, Feb. 29 and then the show took the whole of March off!

Of course, long breaks do disrupt the schedule to the point where the linear ratings can be affected. We’ll look out for any signs that there may be an issue for So Help Me Todd’s renewal.
