SWAT is going for another big episode this week, as the team has to stop an all-out Yakuza war in Los Angeles! Plus, Nichelle finds herself accused of a crime, so check out a preview for an exciting new SWAT!

SWAT wrapped up the exciting two-part Season 7 premiere as Hondo and Hicks discovered Powell had been kidnapped by a corrupt Mexico City cop who’d also stolen a bomb. It was a wild episode that had the pair briefly hunted by the local cops themselves.

They managed to save Powell while also preventing a deadly bombing of a big conference. The trio were more than happy to head back to L.A. and put this crazy adventure behind them.

So, with that wrapped up, SWAT is back in L.A. for this week’s episode, which has the team facing off against an all-out war between deadly Japanese gangs.

SWAT 7x03 promo

The promo for “Good for Nothing” shows the team racing to stop a battle between gangs of the Yakuza, the infamous Japanese mafia. 20-Squad has tangled with the Yakuza before and knows how deadly they can be in a fight.

The promo shows the team in a battle at a cemetery and hints there’s a full-scale gang war about to erupt. It’s not just stopping the two sides but keeping civilians from being caught in the crossfire that will challenge the team, especially if Street is going to be absent.

SWAT 7x03 synopsis

The team is going to be a bit short-handed as Street was explained as being in San Diego while Luca has some family issues. It’s unsure if either will be back for this episode, but hopefully, the rest of the team can manage.

The synopsis also indicates Nichelle is going to have her problems as she’s accused of accepting bribes. Nichelle has already faced issues at the Inspector General’s office, given she’s married to a cop, and something like this could ruin her.

A question is whether Nichelle will tell Hondo about this or keep it quiet to not distract him from a tough case. But between the Yakuza attacks and Nichelle’s fight to clear her name, this looks like a wild episode of SWAT.
