After the double episode of SWAT last week, you’ll be forgiven if you thought the series would take a night off tonight, Friday, March 15. The good news for fans is that there is a new episode to air.

The episode comes off the back of the loss of an OG character. Alex Russell’s Street has moved on, and it’s a character storyline that is a long-time coming. Street has taken over to lead 30-Squad in San Diego after the death of that team’s leader.

Well, now it looks like we’ll get to see Kenny Johnson’s Luca return after being reduced to recurring guest star in the final season. Will this be his last case?

What to expect in SWAT Season 7, Episode 6

The synopsis doesn’t make a big deal, but the promo makes it clear that Luca is back. He’s been away dealing with family issues, but we’ll see him rush out in plain clothes. It looks like he’s off duty right now, but that doesn’t stop him from being a cop. However, there’s a chance that this will be his last mission as he’s possibly shot in the streets of L.A.

Meanwhile, we’ll get some time with Deacon and Annie. Of course, we had to see Annie in the final season. She’s returning to work, and that means Deacon needs to pick up the slack at home a little. His work-life balance is affected.

Check out the promo and synopsis for SWAT Season 7, Episode 6:

"After a prison transport van overturns, Hondo and the team hunt down three female fugitives, including a serial killer on the verge of a rampage; with Annie's return to work, Deacon struggles to maintain a work-life balance"

SWAT airs Fridays at 8/7c on CBS.
