No, you can't watch SWAT Season 7 is January 2024
It’s almost time for the last season of SWAT. The series is coming back in early 2024, but it’s not going to be in January.
To be honest, we didn’t expect any of the broadcast shows to return in January. NBC surprised us with the decision to bring the One Chicago and Law & Order shows back next month. With the late November/early December production start dates, we thought a lot of shows wouldn’t come back until February at the earliest.
The good news is CBS has set the dates. Mid-February is when the scripted shows are coming back, and that includes SWAT Season 7.
When will SWAT Season 7 premiere on CBS?
The series is set to return on Friday, Feb. 16. The episode will kick off Friday nights of drama, with Fire Country and Blue Bloods following on.
Sadly, this is still the last season of the series. CBS renewed the show for a 13-episode final season, and it looks like that is the way things will stay. There is time for the show to wrap up in May 2024 with 13 episodes starting in February.
TVLine has some details about the premiere episode. It’s going to be a two-parter in Mexico City. This is not the first time Hondo has been in Mexico dealing with a situation. This time, he’s out with Hicks and Powell to tackle whatever the situation is. We’ve been promised that Powell will kick some butt throughout the two-parter.
As for the rest of the season, CBS is staying pretty quiet. We are expecting the show to wrap up the storylines for each of the characters. After all, there was plenty of notice that this would be the final season. It was renewed as that after the uproar for cancelling it abruptly.
SWAT Season 7 will premiere on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8/7c on CBS. Catch up on Netflix and Paramount+.
