The Irrational doesn't have new episodes in June, but they'll air soon

There are some great shows coming back in the fall on NBC. That means they won’t air new episodes just yet. The Irrational won’t return in June 2024.

Of course, we don’t expect a lot of broadcast shows in the summer months. This is when people go away, so the networks look at adding non-scripted shows into the mix. There are times that scripted shows air in the summer, but they’re usually those that are considered a higher risk for audiences.

The good news is The Irrational isn’t considered high risk. It was quickly renewed for Season 2, and it will arrive in the fall.

Predicting the premiere date for The Irrational Season 2

We definitely now Alec Mercer is back sometime in the fall. NBC has confirmed that The Irrational will now air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. I’m not sure what to think of the timeslot, but I’m here for the show regardless.

NBC hasn’t set any premiere dates just yet. This is normal. We’re not expecting premiere dates to be announced before July. So, we’re making a prediction instead.

NBC tends to like to bring fall shows back as close to the equinox as possible. This means around Sept. 21 of each year, and that likely means we’ll be looking at a Tuesday, Sept. 24 premiere date for this series. Sometimes, NBC does the week earlier, so we will have Tuesday, Sept. 19 ready just in case.

The second season premiere will need to answer a lot of questions. The biggest is who took Rose? Alec has no idea that she’s been taken yet, but it won’t take too long to realize that something is going on. I wasn’t sure what to think of Rose at first, feeling like she was hiding something. Is this abduction linked to that feeling that I was getting?
