Nicole Kidman and Liev Schreiber star in The Perfect Couple, the Netflix series based on the book of the same name by Elin Hildebrand. It looks like it’s going to be a family drama as a wedding approaches, but it soon turns into a murder mystery.

Everyone has their secrets, and that’s certainly the case for the Winbury family. As the wedding approaches, it’s clear that not everyone is as happy about it happening as others. You’ll want to see it all play out in the series now on Netflix. Yes, it is a binge-watch release.

What is The Perfect Couple about?

Amelia is about to marry the love of her life, Benji. However, the Winbury family is one of the wealthiest in Nantucket, and they have their standards. Matriarch novelist, Greer, is not happy with the idea of the marriage, but it looks like she won’t find a way to stop it.

That is until a body turns up on the beach. Suddenly all secrets are revealed. Everyone has a skeleton or two in their closet, and now everyone is a suspect in this murder.

There are some changes from the book storyline within the series. One of the biggest changes is the name of our lead female, Amelia. In the book, the character is called Celeste, and it’s not clear why the writers opted to make this change.

How many episodes are in The Perfect Couple?

The series has six episodes to tell the story. All six episodes are dropping as one binge-watch.

If you’re worried about shows not getting renewed, there is a little bit of good news with this one. It has been written as a limited series. While that doesn’t mean we won’t see a second season at all—just look at Big Little Lies and Good Omens—it means that there is an ending to the story, so it shouldn’t need a second season to complete the tale.
