Don't expect The Perfect Couple Season 2 on Netflix

The Perfect Couple has been billed as a limited series. While that means we shouldn't expect a second season, it doesn't mean that one won't happen!

If you haven’t checked out The Perfect Couple yet, you’ll want to. The full season is available to binge-watch on Netflix.

Of course, the problem with a new show is that people are scared of abrupt cancellations. We’re done with finding a show we like only for it to be canceled. That happens time and time again across the different streaming platforms.

Well, there’s little need to worry about this series.

The Perfect Couple is a limited series

The new Netflix show is based on the novel of the same name by Elin Hildebrand. It is a one-book story, although some of the characters do appear in other books. You don’t need to read other books to understand the backstories, and you can simply enjoy the murder mystery for what it is.

This is important when it comes to cancellations and renewals. The Perfect Couple was billed as a limited series from the start. That means it should have been developed with a beginning, middle, and an end to the story.

The Perfect Couple Season 2 could work if needed

Of course, we all know that a limited series no longer necessarily stays as a limited series. Nicole Kidman stars in The Perfect Couple, and she was behind a show that started the ability to transform limited series into mutli-season storylines. Just look at Big Little Lies.

We’ve seen it happen with a few shows since. Good Omens and Shogun have all been shows that have developed the story further despite only initially being one story. Even when they’re just based on one-book stories, they can go further.

It all depends on whether those in charge of development think that there is more story to tell. Things don’t always end when the murderer has been revealed. After that, there is the process of the family and individuals moving forward with the big revelations.

However, you can still go into your binge of The Perfect Couple. There’s no guarantee that this will ever end up with more episodes. For now, it is a limited series.
