Poor Tommy ended up on the wrong side of the boot in Blue Lights Season 2, Episode 4. What will happen to him in the final two episodes?

Caution: This post contains spoilers for Blue Lights Season 2, Episodes 3 and 4

With the murder of Dixon, a gap has opened up in the gangs at Mount Eden in Blue Lights. Of course, that meant Lee took over, and it’s led to a bigger issue for the police.

Of course, some cops are willing to do anything to catch the criminals. We see that with DS Murray Canning. He will take any action, and he expects his protégé Shane to do the same. This led to Shane taking Tommy down a dangerous path.

Tommy is spotted and beaten in Blue Lights

It all built up to the moment Tommy went into the nightclub that is being used to run drugs in Blue Lights Season 2, Episdoe 4. To be honest, he didn’t look right for this undercover missions. Chinos and a sweater do not work when you’re going into a club that’s used for drug running.

He even gets spotted while in there. Of course, it led to a beating in the club. Fortunately, backup arrived to help Tommy and he’ll likely survive this beating, but there has to be consequences. Hopefully not for Tommy, though, since he didn’t really have a choice following Canning’s orders.

What will happen to Canning and Shane now?

Canning and Shane certainly need to be taken down a peg or two. Annie will definitely want to see something happen to Shane considering he shared the morning selfie of the two of them. But now, she’ll want to make sure Tommy gets some justice.

As for Canning, he has an old-school way of dealing with problems. The police won’t want to stir even more trouble in Belfast, and that’s what his way of policing will do. Inspector Helen McNally made it clear that she wasn’t sanctioning an out-of-hours operation, but he went ahead anyway, and it could have cost the life of one of their own.

Some of the sanctions against Canning and Shane could depend on what Tommy has to say about the operation. It will also depend on when Canning and Shane turn back up again considering they got out of dodge pretty quickly as soon as trouble started up.
