We have all wondered whether Torres would stick around for long in Chicago PD Season 11. He wasn’t around at first, and then he started up a dangerous romance with a CI and the wife of a cartel boss. Things came to a head with that relationship in the April 3 episode.

Burgess learned the truth about Torres and Perez. She made it clear that they couldn’t be together. Perez is his CI. She’s also the wife of the man that Intelligence was trying to take down. Torres was playing with fire, and he literally got burned in the episode.

However, things turned out to work well for him. By the end of the episode, Perez shot her husband and Torres stood up for her that it was in self-defense. She stopped being his CI and Torres was allowed to keep his job. Now he and Perez get to be together.

Can things work between Torres and Perez in Chicago PD?

It’s clear that the two realize that things are going to be difficult. Torres is a cop and Perez has been on the other side of things. There’s a reason she was a CI!

At least Torres didn’t end up dupping Perez into a relationship. She knew what she was getting into when she decided to hook up with him. Their feelings for each other were very real, as they both acknowledged at the end of the episode. Just because their feelings are real doesn’t mean they can now make things work.

Before, they had to sneak around. Perez was having an affair, and Torres was perfectly find with that. Now they are able to be a legitimate couple. Yet, Perez hasn’t really had a chance to be single. She hasn’t had a chance to try out her new life. And we’re not naïve to think that nobody will come after her, are we?

There is so much that could happen. It feels like the cartel storyline was taken care off way too quickly, which suggests that there’s trouble with this relationship.
