Just after landing Manifest star Melissa Roxburgh to the Tracker cast, the series is calling the SPN Family! Supernatural vet Jensen Ackles has landed the role of Colter Shaw’s brother.

We have got to know Colter’s family a little during the series so far. We know that he has a brother and sister. They were all raised to live off the grid after their father’s mental health took a turn. Colter’s relationship with his brother Russell is a strained one due to events that happened in the past.

Well, it’s time for a Smallville reunion on Tracker. Jensen Ackles will take on the role of Russell Shaw in the series, and we know when he will show up.

When will Jensen Ackles be in Tracker?

Ackles will step in as Russell Shaw in the penultimate episode of Season 1. Titled “Off the Books,” the episode will air on Sunday, May 12. Colter needs to turn to his brother for help when it comes to finding a former Army buddy who has gone missing.

This storyline is going to hit close to home for the Shaw brothers. This former Army buddy has shown some paranoid behavior for the last few weeks. That’s something that happened to their father, leading to the events that have us wondering whether Russell killed their dad in self-defense or not.

The two brothers will end up in a world of off-the-books programs by the Special Forces. Of course, that leads to a lot of conspiracy theories, which is going to further bring up memories of the past.

The episode comes shortly after Colter will have a reunion with his sister. It does sound like his relationship with his sister is a little more friendly than that with his brother. Russell has attempted to contact his brother in the present day, but Colter keeps ignoring his calls. Well, it’s time for the two of them to sort everything out. It’s also time to find out why Mary (the Shaws’ mother) didn’t want Colter to get in touch with his brother.

I do have to admit, Russell is giving some Dean Winchester vibes both in terms of personality that we know of him and the image released at TVLine.

Tracker airs Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.
