Tracker quickly proved itself to be a show to watch. The finale is just around the corner, but at least we know the series is coming back in the 2024–2025 season.
CBS has set the finale dates for its current slate of shows. That includes Tracker, which will air its first season finale on Sunday, May 19. This is in between The Equalizer and the CSI: Vegas finales on the same time.
The middle of May is the usual time for finales, making it clear that CBS is looking to get back on track with the TV schedule. So, will there be any more breaks in the current schedule, and when can we expect Season 2 to premiere?
Will there be any breaks in the schedule?
While a lot of CBS shows will only have 10 episodes this season, Tracker is getting 13. This is due to it being a freshman show. The show already had its pilot filmed when it was picked up to series, and the writers likely already had some of the season planned out should it be picked up. This would have meant production work could start sooner after the strikes came to an end compared to other broadcast shows.
Episode 8 will air on Sunday, April 14 at a special time since there isn’t a new episode of The Equalizer. The show will then move back to the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot the following week. We shouldn’t see any breaks in the schedule at this point. There are six episodes left to air and six weeks to May 19 including this coming Sunday.
When will Tracker Season 2 premiere?
In some great news, we know that Tracker Season 2 is happening. After the successful slot after the Super Bowl, despite the game running into overtime, the series landed a quick renewal.
We’re sure to see the series air in the fall. This would follow what happened to The Equalizer, which also saw success thanks to the post-Super Bowl timeslot and then moved to the fall for the second season. It should also mean that Tracker Season 2 gets a full season.
Tracker airs Sundays, usually at 9/8c, on CBS.
