If you need more true crime in your life, Viaplay has you covered with a new docuseries at the end of July. Under the Radar – Secrets of a Swedish Serial Killer makes its debut.

If you hear the name Peter Mangs, you may be familiar with the case, especially if you look out for serial killers. Mangs was convicted of murdering two people and attempting to murder eight people between 2009 and 2010. He would target immigrants in Malmö, Sweden, terrorizing everyone around.

While he currently serves a life sentence for the crimes he is convicted of, there is potentially more to the story. Police believe that he was involved in more crimes, and some of them in Florida, United States.

Under the Radar delves into the titular song

The true crime docuseries takes a look into a son that investigative journalist John Mork received. He received the sheet of music for “Under the Radar,” a song that Mangs wrote. The song seems to have Mangs confessing to a double homicide in Florida, but he didn’t share any details. There’s just a riddle, giving the whole situation Zodiac Killer vibes.

Mangs says with the sheet of music, “If you can solve the codes, you can understand how the murders went down and where the bodies are buried.”

And so, Mork went down the rabbit hole of the clues. He hired musicians, graphologists, and investigators to help figure out the cryptic song. Could the team get to the bottom of two unsolved murders?

When will Under the Radar premiere on Viaplay?

There is only one place to watch this docuseries. Under the Radar – Secrets of a Swedish Serial Killer will be available to stream on Viaplay on Tuesday, July 30.

There isn’t a trailer released just yet. As soon as there is one, we’ll be sure to share!
