It’s bee a long summer break, but the wait is finally over. The Rookie Season 6 premieres tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 20.
There is one thing to keep in mind. The show is on the move in terms of timeslot again. It’s moving into the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, running after the new hour of Will Trent. This puts it up against FBI: International on CBS, which could be tricky, but could be a little better than up against the flagship series FBI.
How to watch The Rookie Season 6 premiere
As mentioned, the new episode airs tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 20 at ABC. You will be able to watch it live with some subscription services like Sling TV. FuboTV may have it in your location, so it is worth the look.
If you can’t watch it live, you can watch it the following day on Hulu. This is where all ABC shows stream the day after they air live.

What to expect in the episode
The new episode picks up off the back of the Season 5 finale, which will cover what happens to Thorsen. Honestly, this was one of the worst kept secrets on the series. Thorsen is in the key art and was spotted in teasers and trailers. So, he pretty much survives and makes a full recovery. The Rookie should have done something similar to FBI: International.
The main focus of the episode seems to be the curse of the last shift. Nolan and Bailey are getting married, and it’s clear that things are not going to go all that well. Nolan doesn’t believe in the curse just yet, but he probably will do by the end of the episode.

"The team must try to understand why they were targeted and if there is a bigger plan in place; Nolan must survive his last shift before his wedding to Bailey."
The Rookie airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC.
