What happened to Javi in Snowpiercer?
At the end of Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 7, we were left concerned for Javi. The bomb he had previously been holding exploded, but it was in the distance, so we didn’t know what had happened to Javi.
Caution: This post contains spoilers for Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 8.
It didn’t take long for us to learn what had happened. Javi was close to the bomb when it exploded, but it looks like he wasn’t actually holding it. He was blasted back from the explosion, and we saw that he suffered a head injury from it.
In fact, the narration was from Javi at the start of the episode. It was all in Spanish, suggesting that he was struggling with his English at first due to the knock to his head. It certainly set the tone for Javi the rest of the episode.
Javi recovered in Snowpiercer Season 4, Episode 8
In some good news, Javi is okay. He was making a recovery throughout the episode. This is a man who knows that the fate of New Eden is now in his hands. Alex is still with Snowpiercer, and he learns in the episode that Ben is dead.
Sure, Miles has made it back, but he was still learning the ways of being an Engineer. That was why he chose to stay with Mel and Ben when Layton and Josie chose to take Big Alice to see if New Eden was a possibility.
Javi is the only one who can hook Big Alice back up to save New Eden. He’s the only one who can help with things go down. He knows that, and he pushes through his own injuries to make sure he can be there.
By the end of the episode, there is a bigger threat. The Animal Squad is moving in so that Nima can get his hands on Big Alice. It’s up to the people of New Eden to band together to protect their new life from Nima and his Animal Squad.
